Oh my, what a stir this new movie has made. The Secret Movie has been in and out of the news, TV, radio, and just about every other media outlet in the past few months.
Here we have more pundits, gurus, and wealthy celebrities telling the common man and woman how to strike it rich.
"It's all in your mind," they'll readily tell you. It's what they refer to as the Universal Law of Attraction, and whether those words are spoken by an ordinary human or a spirit guide, the message is generally the same.
The Secret, they say, is to use your thoughts - your mind - to draw to you whatever it is you want. Do you want more money? Imagine yourself clearly enjoying all your new riches. Do you want more love? Imagine yourself surrounded by love, in love, or loving that special person of whom you've dreamt for so long.
Now it may sound as though I'm ready to slam these ideas and the people behind them, but I'm not.
I actually agree with what they're saying. The catch for me, however, is how they simplify the message until it is almost meaningless. It's too much like the Peter Pan idea that if you think good thoughts you'll fly. No, you've still got to have the magic fairy dust to fly (or a good set of wings and strong arms).
I love The Secret Movie because it is spreading a message of hope, while telling people about a valuable "secret." It's a great film, and I know that you can see The Secret Movie (in full) at the Universe of Power web site.
But, as you watch the movie I want you to keep in mind that you still need those wings and some good strong wind to fly.
The wings will come from your productive, positive action towards what you want. Simply imagine yourself having what you want... then start moving in that direction. You won't necessarily know what to do next, but do what makes the most sense.
The "wind" that helps you fly is what the law of attraction delivers to you. It's the email you receive that gives you an idea for your next step. It's the person who shows up out of the blue who has exactly the skills and talents you need to do whatever is needed next.
People will come to help. Money might even arrive from unexpected places. Yes, it begins with your dream of what you want. It takes root with your imagination - seeing and feeling yourself in that loving, wealthy place you desire. And it grows through your steady action and willingness to accept help from wherever it may come.
So, go live The Secret. Peace and long life.
